"There is no good reason to ban two potential ‘COVID cures’ ", SkyNews.com.au (17 August 2020)

I have to say, Sky News Australia has been doing some good coverage of these kinds of issues recently. Here we see Sky News host Andrew Bolt question why two "cheap, generic drugs" are being pushed aside in favour of a promised vaccine some way down the line. Is it, he speculates, because there's "no big money in generic, no-label drugs for the big pharma companies"? I'm very glad these issues are being raised on MSM, but I wonder if this goes far enough.

Excuse my speculation here, but I have to ask. Can the apparent resistence to using cheap and readily-available treatments for COVID-19 really be put down mainly to the power of pharmaceutical companies? I don't doubt that's a partial explanation. But doesn't that leave unanswered the question as to why so many governments are prepared to sacrifice their countries' economies to the ravages of lockdown seemingly unnecessarily? Why wouldn't they jump at the opportunity—cast normal medical protocols temporarily aside under the exceptional circumstances of the COVID-19 "war", as their propaganda has been so keen to characterise it—and release these cheap and plentiful treatments, so that doctors can freely prescribe them to their patients?

Isn't that what we would expect? But no. Instead we see ongoing, costly lockdowns. What could explain this?

Some suggest that the pandemic is being prolonged to "hide" the inevitable economic collapse: "No, it wasn't the System with its financial excesses that caused the world to go into depression, it was the dastardly virus." Some suggest that it's being prolonged to facilitate a "New Economic World Order", or "Great Reset", as the elitist types of the so-called "World economic Forum" like to call it. Maybe it's both, and more. I do not know.

But what I will say is that I have a growing unease about all this, and that like many of you I am sensing a darkness at the core of this, the depth of which we have yet to encounter.
